orientation session on GIS-based Monitoring of Chief Minister Initiatives and ADP Projects.

On the direction of the worthy Chairman P&D Board, today the Directorate General Monitoring & Evaluation conducted an orientation session on GIS-based Monitoring of Chief Minister Initiatives and ADP Projects. The event was organized in collaboration with UNICEF. The P&D team from South Punjab was also invited to join the session for an orientation about implementing a robust monitoring mechanism all over Punjab. The session focused on project management tools, app-based monitoring, the theory of change, and impact assessment.

Mr. Ghulam Qasim, Mr. Mohammad Asad Khan, and Dr. Nauman Ali Chaudhary interactively emphasized different aspects of an effective monitoring regime.

The South Punjab P&D team expressed their gratitude towards DGME and praised the training methodology as being very effective. Additional Secretary, Mr. Akhtar Mundhaira expressed his views about the importance of monitoring in the project management cycle and how the South Punjab team can benefit from this in field monitoring of ADP projects.

Director General (M&E), Dr. Kiran Khurshid concluded the session by commending the attendees for their active participation and eagerness to learn. She emphasized using modern technology and tools for real-time monitoring and tracking of projects. She also appreciated the role of UNICEF and the team of the Directorate in organizing this event.
